It's kind of like "alternative" travel -- not quite a hotel, not quite a hostel, not quite camping, but some combo of all three. The staff was gracious, and so were the other guests, and the accommodations are lovely (we were in a small tent). Our tent was equipped with a rug, safari chairs, a dresser, and a coat rack, plus a very comfy bed with quality linens. Showering was an experience: you have to pull and hold a chain to make the water flow, but the water was hot & the provided products were nice. There was also a fire pit around which we met some other guests (very much like hosteling, an experience I doubt we would have had in a hotel). Finally, the surroundings are beautiful! Plus it's not too far from the western entrance of Yellowstone.
The tents are clustered pretty close together. It might be nice if the camp was a little more spread out.

Great location, superb staff and everything we expected this lovely place to be. Fantastic restaurant and bar available on site. A great alternative and the only way to visit Yellowstone.

The location and setting of the campsite were very nice, with beautiful views of nearby mountain ranges. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, making us feel welcome during our stay.
We were given a tent near the bathroom and reception facilities, resulting in constant noise from car and foot traffic. It was also not enjoyable to sleep in sleeping bags that had obviously not been properly cleaned, as there were visible stains and marks on the outer sleeping bags.

For the value we paid, the beds and linens were incredibly comfortable, and waking up to the breathtaking morning view from our tent was an amazing experience. The location was perfect, with stunning views and the opportunity to hear wolves howling at night. The staff was friendly and genuinely passionate about their jobs.
Breakfast delights could be improved with more variety.

The people that greeted us were friendly.
Beware if you stay here, it´s a good location but it´s just a field, and the teepee is very basic. Theres some uncomfortable small campbeds inside, and that´s it. Then the shower and toilets are mixed, and the showers are extremely weak. You also have to hold down a handle at all time for any water to come out. We were also cold (and it is summer!), so beware you should bring thermals.

It was very cool to be so out in nature and that our dogs could come with us!!!
The only thing that could have made it better was if there were accomodations available for bigger people. The cots and sleeping bags were a little "skinny" for us fatties, but overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Thanks!!! :)

The experience was absolutely amazing! The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, making it difficult to get out of bed in the morning. The tent was spacious and cozy, providing the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. Additionally, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home.
The condition of the bathrooms. While they were clean and new, the staff didn't seem to maintain them well.

Loved the ability to camp a bit without having to take time to set up and knock down when we had limited time to enjoy Yellowstone. I also greatly enjoyed relaxing down by the river at the end of the day.
The big thing is the cots were too narrow, which made it impossible for me to sleep well. I would have slept much better on just a basic camping mat on the floor, that would have given me the room to sleep more comfortably on my side and change positions in the night. Provide nice floor mats as an option to the cots and you have a winner for me.

just had the most relaxing spa holiday in west yellowstone - under canvas surpassed my expectations! comfy bed, helpful staff, and a laid-back hipster vibe made it unforgettable. community campfires & games were a great way to connect with fellow guests. goodbye to generic hotels, under canvas is the real deal.
Showers were a letdown.

Cleanliness of facilities.
I wrongly assumed that the campsite was within Yellowstone National Park so I found the title misleading. I arrived to find that the campsite was not within the Park nor within the West Yellowstone town area. The campsite is actually located about 5 miles outside West Yellowstone town. Also, it was not well signed posted when driving in the dark.

Only thing we liked was the location
The beds in the tent were half broken and the tent was nothing like it showed in the pictures. The beds were the one u use in army basic training - cots and not beds. Also, the gear u get for the night is not enough to keep u warm and we were freezing the I tier night. We left the tent and went to the car at 4 am because it was too cold. It was better to camp with our own gear and tent than to sleep there.
